In May 1967, Kenneth Copeland was walking along the bed of the Arkansas River in Tulsa, Oklahoma, when the Lord dropped the vision of the ministry into his heart: to preach the gospel to the nations—a call that would include using every available voice to preach the uncompromised message of faith to meet the needs of people worldwide.
It all started though with simple steps of obedience and faith, walking in love and the integrity of God's Word.
In 1957 at 20 years of age, with a hit record, Pledge of Love, at #14 on the national charts and #1 on the local charts Kenneth looked to be on his way to a successful singing career appearing on American Bandstand and featured next to Ricky Nelson in Dig Magazine. But God had other plans. He met Gloria and asked her to marry him on their first date. She said yes. At that time, they lived in a rented apartment with a rollaway bed, coffeepot they cooked in and kept their food on the porch to keep it cold. Things were not abundant but as Gloria sat reading a Bible given to Kenneth from his mother one day she prayed, "God, take my life and do something with it." Shortly thereafter Kenneth became a Christian and five years later at the age of 30 he obeyed God, packed up his family, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to enroll at Oral Roberts University in spring of 1967.
Kenneth applied to be Oral Roberts' co-pilot and he was made part of the flight crew attending all the tent meetings and crusades. It was during this time that he was learning exponentially through on-the-job training. Just a few months after Kenneth worked for Oral, God called him to start his own ministry and on September 7, 1967, Kenneth Copeland Ministries was birthed.
"Kenneth Copeland Ministries was birthed out of love for the people and a commitment to bring people the Word," states Kenneth Copeland. "Our lives are totally wrapped up in ministering to the people. When we say, "We're here for you." we mean it to this point—everything we do, everything we preach, every broadcast we come on, everywhere we minister, everything we say and do is prayed, engineered, designed to minister to the people.... God called us to take His message of love and faith to the whole world. We care about you and we want to help you find the answers you need in God's Word.
Kellie Copeland Swisher, Kenneth and Gloria's daughter, believes that is what sets Kenneth and Gloria apart. "People all the time use the phrases 'Word church,' 'Word people,' 'Word movement.'" states Kellie. "Forty years ago, faith was ambiguous. It wasn't a movement. To us, it was just a way of life. Mom and Dad said, 'If we see it in the Word, we're going to form our life around that. We're going to change our life to fit the Word.' It's the way we live our life. Every decision they make is formed around the Word."
"Integrity and integrity in God's Word," continues John Copeland, son and CEO of KCM. "That's what this ministry has stood on for 40 years and will stand on for the next 40 years. People have said word of faith teaches that you don't ever have problems and that's just not true. Our families have been faced with adversities. Sometimes you just go through something. It's not that you don't face obstacles and don't face adversities, it's what you do when you are faced with those adversities. How do you handle yourself, what do you do? You have a choice. And we were raised not to just take it but to fight it, stand against it, believe God and the integrity of His Word and you will come out on the other side."
Kenneth and Gloria have learned the principle of connecting to God in faith. By the Lord's blessing, they have taught their children, grandchildren and Partners the world over the power of connecting with God and His Word every day in every way in their life, making for a great heritage and legacy.
Craig Kinsley: I cannot express just how crazy excited we are about life right now. We’re going to be parents in just a few months and we finally feel like we’re home. We’ve been living in San Francisco for just over a month and we are absolutely in love. If there ever was a place that seemed just right for our eccentric nature and the heart that God has developed in us over the years, its right here.
Our journey to get here was not a short one. Over the past five years we have been traveling itinerantly literally all over the world. We had some amazing times and some difficult times. Through it all, God connected us with some of the most amazing people we have ever known and taught us more about Himself and His Kingdom than we were aware even existed. We were to witness new incredible moves of God, incredible miracles and more snack food than we could ever eat. Even though we experienced all of those amazing things, there was always a nagging in our hearts for something that we couldn’t quite figure out.

Beginning a few years ago, I began to receive understanding surrounding the topic of love and creativity. As soon as this began to take place, something sparked in me. It was as if a dormant seed began to grow. For two years the Spirit took me through a process, which is still ongoing, that I can only explain as a reformation of my thinking and my view on Christianity as a whole.
Last year, I began to wonder to myself if everything I was thinking was just some sort of theory or if we could actually put into action the things I was thinking and speaking about. One morning I woke up with both an overwhelming urge and an overwhelming peace that I was supposed to begin to limit my travel schedule and to look for an urban area in which to plant a church.
I began to pray and talk to friends, members of our current team and past interns about what I felt like God was saying. The same spark that I had been feeling began to be felt by many other people. About 4 years ago, while driving through San Francisco on my way to Santa Rosa, I unexpectedly heard the voice of the Spirit with extreme clarity. He said to me, "Craig, if you ever want to change the culture of a nation, you have to go to the cultural centers." At the time I wasn't sure what this meant. I didn't think it was for me, but I kept it in my heart.
In December of '09, while living in North Carolina, I began remembering the word that I had heard from the Lord involving San Francisco. Something stirred within me. A few weeks later I was editing some old video of me speaking in 2008. I was talking about a picture that I had seen in the spirit during worship of a road stretching from North Carolina to San Francisco. Again, little did I know that all along God was preparing us for our new home and our new life in San Francisco.
In hindsight, that season of preparation was one of the most
vital times in my life. I finally feel like I have a grasp on the
specifics of my calling and am comfortable in the giftings that God has
given me. I have been surrounded by some amazing people and I know that
even if these were the only ones I had, we could still change the world
together. We are ready for the road that we are beginning to walk and
may God bless every step that we take.
Todd White was a drug addict and atheist for 22 years when in 2004 He was radically set free! Redemption and righteousness are the foundation and the keys to the new creation reality that we are to live in and from. God has simply opened Todd's eyes to this truth and that Holy Spirit wants to flow through every believer everywhere we go, at work, school, grocery stores, malls, gas stations, everywhere. His true joy is being able to reproduce in people the simplicity of this reality, in a 24/7 kingdom lifestyle! This is for every believer! No one is excluded!
Todd's testimony has been reenacted on the Sid Roth show. He has appeared on the 700 club and also has been featured on the XP media with Patricia King. His heart is activating people into the simplicity of who they really are and destroying lies that hold people back from being who God created them to be.
Wesley and Stacey Campbell have been long time residents of the Okanagan Valley, pastoring in Kelowna for over 30 years. In 1986 they co-founded New Life Church, and shortly thereafter experienced a dramatic revival and move of the Holy Spirit. As a result of this revival, New Life grew to over a thousand members in 5 years. This revival also set in place a direction that ultimately connected Wesley and Stacey with John and Carrol Arnott and the Toronto Blessing. In the initial stages of the Toronto Blessing, Wesley and Stacey were regular conference speakers and also began to travel as part of the team of extension itinerate ministries. It was at that time that ‘RevivalNOW! Ministries’ was born, as Wesley and Stacey participated in over 50 national and international conferences per year from 1995 onward. Since that time, they have ministered in over 60 nations and continue to speak at 60 plus conferences a year.
In the late 1990’s the dimension of prayer and solemn assemblies was added to the revival emphasis. Together Wesley and Stacey launched Praying The Bible International and later joined Lou Engle and Mike Bickle as the International Directors of ‘The CALL’’, co-coordinating national gatherings of prayer and fasting in various nations of the world.
As well as being heavily involved in the revival/prayer emphasis, Wesley and Stacey began to push in to global missions with a specific emphasis of mercy and social justice to widows, orphans, and refugees. In recent years, they have raised over $7 million dollars for ‘Children at Risk’, sponsoring 1500 orphans and building children’s homes, dorms, schoolrooms and clinics for orphans and under-privileged children in developing nations. See Be A Hero.
Today Wesley and Stacey work within a city church concept in New Life Church and Kelowna Christian Center. They sit on an apostolic team bridging two regional churches and numerous international works. Stacey is the founder and facilitator of the Canadian Prophetic Council with international affiliates in various countries. They are part of Harvest Rock apostolic and prophetic council, under the leadership of Che Ahn. And, most recently they have become the Overseers of Eaglesnest School of Supernatural Ministry in Kelowna, BC – an affiliate of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry, based in Redding, California.
The Campbell’s continue to base in Kelowna where they live with their five children, one teenage friend, and their 15-year-old dog – named Noah.
