An elderly gentleman went forward during a tent meeting with a lisp that he had suffered with since childhood.
He asked the minister, "Can God heal me?" The answer came quickly: "Only if He wants to, my friend."
Way too often we, as Christians, fall in the trap of only going where we believe God has given us permission to go and doing what God has given us permission to do – almost like ballerinas who are stuck on the ground.

Acts of God, what are they? We are accustomed to hearing the local newscaster declare a natural disaster as an act of God. But is it really? Is that an accurate forecast?
When society no longer believes that Satan exists or that hell is an actual place, then they blame the Creator for these destructive events. When they say that there are many roads that lead to salvation, then there is confusion about who God is. And therefore, humankind makes their own gods and anyone's description of the nature and character of their god is confused and accepted as the one, true God.

"Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in" (Psalm 24:7 NIV). I understand that our nation and many others were founded on Christian principles. I am also aware that there are many serious issues arising to the surface in our country that are in severe jeopardy. This country is going through an extremely challenging time—one of the most severe and serious moments that we've ever seen. America needs a lot of prayer and many miracles. In light of the election results, we must also understand the times that we are in. God is far more interested in devoted Christians serving Him all over the world than a political office candidate who may or may not serve Him.
The biggest "motivator" for every Christian is experiencing God's presence and power (in the church) and then getting the invitation to walk with the Father to do even greater works (in the Kingdom). The church is an incubator for new believers and it has a motherly feel. From that nurturing environment we learn to receive… forgiveness, love, healing, and eventually our identity (who we are in Christ). It's exciting to exercise spiritual gifts and have the sense of learning to obey or cooperating with the moving of the Holy Spirit. The experience of Jesus' personal redemption in our lives is amazing and motivating. We naturally want to sign up for more and give our lives back to Him.
Lay down under the night sky. Stare intently at the stars. Did you know some of the light you see is a ghost, the echo of something dead? Light travels at 186,000 miles per second. That means we can watch the last breath of life of a star that died ages ago. Our own Sun is a yellow dwarf, among 100 billion other stars in our Milky Way Galaxy, and our galaxy is among more than 100 billion other galaxies in the observable universe. Starting to feel small? Starting to at least get a glimpse of the vastness of everything? And yet...you matter, we matter, our lives matter. Psalm 139:13-14 reads, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
November is a time of restoration and revelation. The shaking many people are experiencing is designed by God to shake open things that have been previously sealed. Now is the time for the sealed to be revealed. Have you been seeing the numbers 333? "Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." Jeremiah 33:3 NIV Right now is the time in which God is revealing more to you for your new assignments coming from Heaven. Your Book of Life has been opened and this is a time of transition, as new angels are being assigned to help you. Do not focus on the storm or what things might look like in the natural realm.
She interrupted everything. Slowly but deliberately, she approached the platform as we all stared in wonder. Apparently she had no idea she was disrupting a very prestigious gathering of clergy. There must have been 500 of us, all ministers, sitting silently in our lovely clothes at the posh Grand Hotel, enjoying a conference on how to be more efficient in the ministry. Suddenly this woman had emerged and walked right down the center aisle. Now she cautiously extended her hand to our speaker, releasing a worn piece of paper from her grasp. "Here's my name. Please, please pray for me," she humbly pleaded.
I felt a real urgency on my heart today as the US election approaches in a few days. I saw a wind being blown into the body of Christ but it was not a wind sent by the Lord, it was a wind sent by the enemy. As I saw this wind blowing I heard the words: "Confusion and delusion are about to rear their ugly heads in a greater way in the next few days leading up to the U.S. election, but My people no matter what you see, keep your eyes above and on me. Keep your eyes on My heart and crying out for a divine restart and My resurrection power to manifest. I am going to release greater clarity and insight and a powerful demonstration of My resurrection power as you continue to cry out My people.
We think that we are so knowledgeable about our own needs and ourselves! But, more often than not, we are just opinionated and headstrong people! We refuse instructions from anyone who could tell us about the deeper things of the spirit, because "We know," or "Don't want to know!" How DARE you address this Mrs. Lindow!!! Hmmmm! I think I will continue!! **smile** We stumble along without anyone's help, and all the while we are overlooking that gnawing, unsettled sense inside of us, though if we paid attention to this we would see our true inner condition. It is in this way that we acclimate our souls to straggle along in a dark spiritual wilderness, and how we do ourselves so much harm.
At one point, I was a youth pastor, professional sign language interpreter, wedding photographer, radio host, husband, and father - in that order. As an interpreter, I worked full-time in a public school, including all of my student's after-school activities. My radio show consumed Tuesday and Friday nights. Wednesday nights and all day Sunday were eaten up by church functions, and Saturdays were spent photographing weddings, with youth group activities, or both. Long days and late nights were the norm. People wondered how I could keep so many plates spinning. In my religious fervor, I judged their lack of busyness. My wife pleaded for attention, my friends constantly complained that I was MIA, and my anxiety was through the roof.
