This is from the heart of Jesus for some very precious people. The Lord says to you, "I AM the God of broken hallelujahs. I AM the God of YOUR broken hallelujahs. This is from the heart of Jesus for some very precious people.
The Lord says to you, "I AM the God of broken hallelujahs. I AM the God of YOUR broken hallelujahs.
When the hardships of this life leave you weary, brokenhearted, and troubled, when the hurt weighs heavy inside, remember that I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
When the struggle is great, and you have no words to speak, remember I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
When you feel you've failed at everything, when the darkness taunts and laughs, remember I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
When the load is more than you can bear, and everything comes crashing down, remember I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
When your memories are painful, when comfort cannot be found, remember I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
A perfect hallelujah is not what I am after. No, it is what's in your heart, beloved; I listen to your heart. The sounds of your broken praise always pierce My own heart, for I understand the trials, sufferings, and burdens of this earthly life. I know because I have walked before you.
So when there's nothing left to hold onto, when hope and courage fade, call out to Me and remember, I AM the God of broken hallelujahs.
You will always find Me here."
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not reject. Psalm 51:17

Let me preface this by saying 2025 marks the ten-year anniversary of Broken Pianos and Mending Hearts, which the Holy Spirit and I wrote together and published in 2015; although it actually took me over a year to fully complete in the way He wanted. The truth is, nothing has changed regarding how God feels about those who have been abused and traumatized—His heart grieves deeply for them. Sadly, there is still a lot of apathy and outright neglect for victims in the body of Christ today, and that grieves His heart just as much, if not more.

This year, 2024, officially marks thirty years since I first became ill and began an unexpected journey that I never imagined would span decades. I originally wrote and published the following piece in 2022, sharing it on my health blog and social media in honor of Lyme disease awareness month [at the time]. The Holy Spirit never ceases to amaze me, so imagine my surprise when He recently informed me He wanted me to share this again now that I've reached the thirty-year mark in this crazy journey of journeys.

I think before I got sick, I didn't realize how often God actually allows us to endure the heat of the battle. I also didn't know how many battle scars come with that, but I can better see now how valuable those scars really are. I see how these scars, in the hands of our nail-scarred Savior, can be used for the purposes of His Kingdom and to help others who are going through things we already have or are still in the process of. I can see how our scars speak to where we've been, what we've been through, and the depth of our healing journeys; it is all painful but precious in His hands.
