I. The Supreme Court Painting

II. This past October I was in Washington, DC during a time of prayer for the nation during the Day of Atonement. This particular day I had just dropped off a painting of the White House to a US Senator, because, two years earlier, the Lord told me to paint the Senator as a future president of America after staying at his apartment one night. He will run in 2008, I found out later that night.

III. I had just finished that assignment and had been praying with several people the last two days at the Supreme Court when I left to go talk to a friend on the phone. As I was talking to her, I told her that as the youth had been praying 24/7 at the Supreme Court that they would, along with others, change the Scales of Justice as we continued to pray. At that point, I suddenly knew that I was to paint the Supreme Court as my next prophetic painting assignment.

IV. I knew I was supposed to paint the sky sort of like Mount Sinai where the glory of God was coming down in fire, smoke, lighting, and tremendous glory, and the Father came down clothing Himself with thick darkness.

   A. Earlier this year the Lord had me meditating about how He comes in thick darkness. At a prayer meeting in September of 2006 out of my mouth came this statement (which, by the way, I had never heard interpreted that way before). I said, "And the reason the sun is turned black and the moon turned to blood is because the glory of the Father is about to come again in thick darkness, just like at Mount Sinai, just like the Cross. Jesus said, "Father into Thy hands I commit My Spirit.” At that time the sky was black for three hours, the Father came down and rent the veil from top to bottom. There was lightning, thunder, and a great earthquake just like at Mt. Sinai, and then the graves were opened.

   B. Joel 2:1-2 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; 2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

   C. Joel 2:28-32 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out My Spirit. 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes. 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

   D. Over the Supreme Court there is blood, fire and vapor of smoke. This speaks also of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit coming. When the Father shows up on the scene it will be the greatest harvest in world history and a mighty Joel’s Army will be raised up. We see an inkling of that in a group called Bound 4 Life, and in youth that have a zeal for God.

   E. Joel 3:14-15 14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. 15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

   F. When does this valley of decision take place? Once again when the Father shows up…. the earth will shake and tremble before His presence.

   G. While I was painting the face of the Father in the sky, I noticed the face seemed to have a big frown. I was going to change it but the Lord said: "Leave it”, so I did. The next day I was in my favorite coffee shop and the Lord told me to look up the words thick darkness. The words are only used when the Father shows up in His glory. The first definition was gloomy, like a sky that is frowning. I just about fell out of my chair when I read that.

V. The left side of the Supreme Court depicts more of the darkness of the decisions of this court. This is what is says in the window written in red:

   A. Daniel 5:25-28 25 And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. 26 This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE: God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. 27 TEKEL: Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. 28 PERES: Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

   B. The left side of the Scales of Justice says, from bottom to top, "Innocent blood, perversion, and pride. The right side of the scales says "righteousness, justice, and truth, with a cross at the bottom.

     1. The blood on the left side of the scales forms into an aborted baby sucking his thumb; the blood on the right side of the scales drips off the cross and forms Jesus reaching out to the baby with his nail-pierced hands. As the blood drips it forms a cross.

     2. You can see a cross in the cobble stone path in a red hue. This part of the painting I believe Norma is supposed to help finish in white. Isaiah says: Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

     3. Between the pillars on the right side of the Capital building you can see faces weeping. My ten-year old son and eight- year old daughter said: "Dad you need to put faces there as one of your hidden symbols ( I almost always put hidden things in my paintings, some I put in, and some the Lord puts in and I see them later.) You can see each of the faces has tears coming from their eyes. The verse in Habakkuk has meant a lot to me for several years. It says (Habakkuk 2:11-12) For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it. 12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!

VI. The law needs to be written in our heart.

   A. As I was pondering the statement, "Equal Justice Under the Law”, I thought the only real way we can keep the law of God is if it’s written in our heart. So, the six windows on the right side from left to right show God’s plan of salvation.

   B. He first gave us the Ten Commandments, which no man could keep, for the law doesn’t make any one perfect. They were just to point the way.

   C. The second window shows the Word made flesh, the incarnation.

   D. The third window shows the crucifixion, with His blood dripping out His side, down the walls of the Supreme Court.

   E. The fourth window shows the Holy Spirit coming to teach us all truth, and to make the Word of God become alive in our hearts.

   F. The fifth window is an open Bible.

   G. And the sixth window is the Word of God written on our heart Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be My people.

VII. Please keep this nation in prayer as we need God to once again visit this nation, and give us judges and leaders after His heart.
