How fatalistic Shakespeare's statement sounds. Are we merely just players acting out on the stage of life as if we had no say–as if we had no part to play–as if life just happens to us? Don't get me wrong. Life does happen to all of us. And yet, according to John 10:10 Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly.

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 In Psalm 109, David sets an incredible example. He talks about how his enemy hates, falsely accuses, and fights him without cause, but his reaction to this is inspirational. He says, "But I give myself to prayer." In Hebrew, this phrase is translated as "But I am prayer."

In the coming year, we will experience God in ways that will transform our environment, communities, and nation.  It is my belief that God is up to some great things in the body of Christ.  There have been many changes in America and throughout the world, but God will be glorified in and through all of them.  El Shaddai will appear in the lives of those who stay near him, walk in faith, and remain strong in the study of God's Word in this year, according to the Lord.

The Lord recently reminded me of a prophetic dream that I had several years ago which I had recorded in my journal. As we transition into this new year, and as time moves on, expect a dramatic overhaul in the natural world, as well as an unprecedented outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the supernatural realm. I don't believe that this dream was limited to its original time frame, because prophetic dreams are not bound by time zones. Just like prophetic words, some (but not all) are timeless, and continue to unfold throughout the years.

Leadership is about justice and justice is using that leadership (influence) for the good of others. This has been my leadership methodology for years and it has been tested in the fire! Years ago, I was grieving over being taken advantage of over and over again. I hurt because I was surrounded by takers who were self-absorbed in their own needs and never genuinely caring for me. I would trust their words of loyalty, commitment, and partnership until I was slapped in the face with sudden, heartbreaking betrayals.

Matthew 6:33 The Word of God says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Now, what is the kingdom of God? The apostle Paul tells us in Romans 14:17 that the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but "righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit."

Do you ever regret reacting in anger? It's important to remember that anger, as an emotion, is not sinful in and of itself. Ephesians 4:26 says, "In your anger, do not sin." But if left unchecked, anger can lead to sin and become a stronghold for the spirit of anger. There are ways to recognize if the spirit of anger is at work in your life and have victory over it. Once recognized, you can learn how to break free from this destructive spirit of anger and replace it with the authority of God's Holy Spirit.

One of the greatest revelations of my life is: I can choose my thoughts and think things on purpose. In other words, I don't have to just think about whatever falls into my mind. This was a life-changing revelation for me because as Proverbs 23:7 says, "As he [a man] thinks in his heart, so is he." I like to say it like this: Where the mind goes, the man follows. Now God is concerned about the hidden man of the heart, which is our inner life. Our inner life is what we think about. And like the scripture above says, the way we think determines how we live and who we are. That's why we need to think about what we're thinking about.
