Releasing Revival by Brian Turner

By Brian Turner
There are many Apostles and Prophets calling for revival. There seems to be a recognizable shift in the spiritual atmosphere, and these anointed generals are sensing a coming awakening that will far surpass the revivals of times past. We are in a unique time of history ripe for a mighty move of the Father's Spirit. Unique times are prime for a unique revival, and the coming revival will not be a passing fad but a sustained, progressive movement of the Kingdom. There are a few reasons why this is true. First, the world is confused about its identity. We see this all around us. From fatherless children to gender fluidity, the world is hungry for solid identity.

Of course, a complete and whole identity can only be found in the Father. This is why the coming move of Holy Spirit will be so powerful.

Already, there is an awakening of identity within the Church. Just a cursory look on YouTube reveals this fact. From Apostolic Fathers like Bill Johnson, Todd White, Pete Cabrera, and Dan Mohler, we are hearing messages concerning our identity in Christ. This is a revival in and of itself. At no other time in Church history has such an emphasis on our identity in Christ been so prevalent. It is a reformation all its own. Believers are stripping themselves of the old man and putting on the new man just as Paul wrote in Colossians 3:9-11.

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all (NKJV).

Revival as a Lifestyle

Secondly, from this revival of identity, the Church is realizing the power it carries within itself. If the Church is a new man in Christ, then the Church carries Holy Spirit within itself. The Church is becoming hungry for and more conscious of the  Father's presence. There are a multitude of voices teaching the Church how to seek His presence and how to know His manifest presence continually. Believers are becoming more aware of Holy Spirit's indwelling presence, and an awareness of being a host to His presence is life transforming. As 1 Corinthians 6:19reads, "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" (NKJV)

Thirdly, believers who become fully aware of being an earthen vessel of Holy Spirit are catapulted to be revivalists. Why is this true? It's true because they have the complete revelation of not being their own. They are bought with a price. "For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's"(1 Corinthians 6:20, NKJV).Since they are not their own, bought with a price, and carriers of God's Spirit, they know they contain revival. Revival is a deposit on the inside of believers. Believers who fully have this revelation will release the revival they carry. They will live out their lives as conduit for revival. Revivalists are believers who are fully captivated and animated by Holy Spirit's presence. Everywhere they go revivalists are releasing revival into the atmosphere and environment in which they find themselves.

The coming revival is sustainable because, in reality, revival is a lifestyle. Revival is not something we should expect to have an expiration date. In fact, revival is already here. Revival is already here because every believer carriers revival. The revival they carry is a person. That person is Holy Spirit. Once believers are fully aware of their identity in Christ and the indwelling presence of Holy Spirit, they will know themselves as revivalists. Then revival will no longer tarry because revivalists will release the Presence they carry. The world awaits those revivalists who gain this revelation. The world is awaiting the revivalist that is you.
