A Season of Warfare by Elaine Tavolacci

By Elaine Tavolacci
Most of us are familiar with the old song "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds, which is also known as "To everything there is a Season." This song was actually taken from the bible. The book of Ecclesiastes chapter three begins with: To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven. A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant and a time to pluck up what was planted but it goes on to say in verse eight that there is a time for war and a time for peace.

Most of us are familiar with the old song "Turn, Turn, Turn" by the Byrds, which is also known as "To everything there is a Season." This song was actually taken from the bible. The Lord is showing me that there is a war going on in the spirit realm called the coronavirus and we are called to war against it. We are not warring against people but we are warring against powers, principalities, rulers of darkness and wicked spirits in heavenly places and this beast will be taken down through believers who know how to pray with authority. As Christians, we are called to intercede because we are the only people on this earth who are able to shift this pandemic. Jesus is looking for an army to stand together in prayer of agreement to destroy the works of the enemy.

There was a man in the bible named Gideon who was fearful and weak in his own sight, but mighty in the eyes of God. The name Gideon means "Mighty warrior." Gideon was called to deliver Israel from the Midianites, but one day Gideon was hiding as they were attacking Israel. God had sent an angel to him saying, "The Lord is with you, mighty man of valor." Gideon replied with a question, if the Lord is with us, why did all these terrible things happen? The Lord responded, "Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man. After this encounter with the angel, Gideon went and rescued Israel from the enemy with an army, which the Lord had reduced from thirty two thousand men, to three hundred men. The Lord also revealed the enemies plans to Gideon and He allowed him to see into the enemies' camp. (Judges 7:13-15)

The Holy Spirit is showing me that many of you are fearful as you see this army of demonic power rising up, but Jesus is calling you a mighty man/woman of valor. We will defeat every enemy that attempts to overtake us. This is a word from the Lord. You are stronger than you think you are because you have the Holy Spirit living inside of you. He has called each one of us in the body of Christ to be mighty men and mighty women of valor. He has called each one of us to stand in agreement and slay this giant. Our words carry weight. Our prayers have power. The Holy Spirit is about to move in a mighty way and I believe that this demonic principality has been released from the kingdom of darkness to try to stop this move of God.

Time to Take Your Stand

The Lord says; Rise up mighty men and women of valor. It is time for you to take your stand to become who I have created you to be. I am looking for those who are willing to go to the front lines regardless of what they see and hear in the natural. I am looking for those who will not become weary as the enemy seems to be battering and relentless. It is time to go in your prayer closet and pray. It is time to connect with other believers who are strong and courageous warriors. It is time for the believers to remove anything that is weighing them down and come into repentance. It is time for the church to rise up with new authority and power. Don't allow fear and despair to wear you down. It is time for the church to awaken from a lifeless Christianity. Do not fear the unknown but know that I am with you and I called you to be a mighty man and mighty women of valor says the Lord.

Judges 6:11-12 Now the Angel of the Lord came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites. And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said to him, "The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!"

Judges 7:13-15 Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. "I had a dream," he was saying. "A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed." His friend responded, "This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands." When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, "Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands."

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
