Waters of Revelation …The Chronicle
Glenda Wilson

Not long ago, I was writing how revelation comes and the Lord kept likening it to pools which collect rain …moisture from heaven. For centuries God’s people have cried for rain. When Jesus came, He made a way for us to get back to the source –the River.

We find ourselves as dry and thirsty land, digging pools and praying for rain. In His mercy and grace He allows us to drink from self dug wells for a season while we journey toward the source.

John 7:37-39 Now on the final and most important day of the Feast, Jesus stood, and He cried in a loud voice, If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink! He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, From his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water. But He was speaking here of the Spirit, Whom those who believed (trusted, had faith) in Him were afterward to receive. For the [Holy] Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified (raised to honor). AMP

The River finds its source in the deep; the Old Testament speaks of dry land "resting” on solid rock foundations located over powerful fountains of the deep. The powerful waters of the "Deep” can bring revelation or destruction …blessing or cursing. Isa 43:2 says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. The thought here is that without God the waters could overtake you.

He clave the rocks in the wilderness, and gave them drink as out of the great depths. He brought streams also out of the rock, and caused waters to run down like rivers. (Psa 78:15-16 KJV) …all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters and a fountain shall come forth of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley… (Joel 3:18b KJV) Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me. (Psa 42:7 NIV)   And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem(the city of God); (Zec 14:8 KJV)   There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her and that right early. (Psa 46:4-5 KJV)

When the waters of the "Deep” burst forth from their boundaries, the result is a flood. Psa 69:15 says, "Do not let the flood sweep over me, or the deep swallow me up…” We should not become alarmed when the waters are troubled; for those who build on the firm foundation …on the Rock will find firm footing

The temple vision is somewhat parallel to Rev 21-22 …a river flowing from the throne of God. We must realize that the water Ezekiel saw issue forth from the temple was symbolic of a time when Christ would become the Temple and The Fountain. The Temple is depicted without doors –for Jesus has become "The Door” and the waters flow freely because of Christ. Jesus said, "Come drink of this water and you will never thirst again”. From "His pierced side” flows living water …the wellsprings of life. From Jesus, the fountain of the deep burst forth. He alone causes the waters of revelation to flow freely once again from the throne room of God. They are available now and forevermore. Two fountains are depicted in Behold The Waters representing the two covenants.

The flood gates are now open … the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. (Hab 2:14 NIV)

Knowledge demands a response …it requires a decision ….resist or submit to the flow. Fight it and drown …or rest in it and live.

When the water becomes so deep that we cannot pass over, we must rest in it …for within the river is the revealed knowledge of all that is in the fountain flowing from Immanuel’s veins. Mercy grace, peace, wholeness and so much more is within it, The River will heal all that is in its path; it will bring a great harvest of souls. Drink deeply, for those who drink of this water shall never thirst again. Go to the source, the path is clear …not only did Jesus make a way; He is the way.

Glenda Wilson is a passionate student of scripture and has been a prophetic and revelational writer for a number of years. In 2001, she began a new journey …Renderings of the Heart ™ ...a collection of illustrations and writings inspired by dreams, revelation, life experiences, and observations. The most amazing thing about the art is that prior to September 11, she had never created a piece of art. She has had no formal training. He placed His Spirit on the artisans of old, and once again He is supernaturally empowering His people to accomplish His purposes.

Her art, writing, and speaking covers a broad spectrum; from healing the broken-hearted to releasing creativity and revelational gifts. At the heart of everything, is an agenda to teach people how to understand and maximize moments of visitation from the Lord.

The writings that accompany the pieces are as life-changing as the art. God beckons the viewer to go to that place of revelation that He has within each piece …there the Holy Spirit ministers it in a most personal way. In the privacy of their own home, God works through the art and writing to minister His purpose, which for many is something that is better experienced alone with God.
