The Deep Riches by Pam Clark

By Pam Clark
People who have been touched by God usually want to get the message out there. They have had an experience and want to share it in the ways they can. They press in to press forward and they leave a trail of signposts and input (intel) for others. Is it easy? Usually not. Does it take prayer and energy? Yes, of course. Is it casual? No, not really casual at all, even if it seems that way. We are in a warfare, not just a conquest for self. It's not just "a game" to see if we can get to the next level or not. When there is a commission from Him, it is not just casual conversation with others. It's not entertainment to see if we can find more "luxury." In a war, sometimes you do take hits, but you also gain victories.

We are in a warfare, not just a conquest for self. It's not just "a game" to see if we can get to the next level or not. Yes, we look for better ways of doing things, but it serves a purpose, and it is one that affects the lives of others. Most parents plan for their children for more than just one day. Certainly they pray too, if they are believers. And they pray for the future, and plan and prepare.

Now all you can stress over is just one day. Jesus gave advice in Matthew 6:34 - "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."One day at a time. Sometimes it is one moment at a time, but when you get the time you can think and pray about things! You just want to be on the right track.

Every day is not the same! And we thank God for the good days but there is work to be done to reach the world with His redemption message and it is work! If you are cooking a meal, there is a process and a goal! You don't just throw it in the pan all at once usually, but you tend it until it is ready for the delivery. Even your cooking and feeding is a preparation work for another day in the future.

The Kingdom of God is a work! We want to press forward in it. The timetable is not ours. And not everyone understands our projects but they can see fruit in it, or something going on that will produce. Buildings are nice but they look funny and inefficient before they are finished out. We may like or not like the furnishings, but what purpose will it serve? Things make a difference!

We press on; we press forward to a completed work. Sometimes it takes more than one to get something accomplished. Some things take generations! How we grieve over lost loved ones, those who have passed on. How much of that could we control? But yet we have to trust a loving God.

This is My Body, Broken for You

Do you realize that every life from Adam and Eve were lives that were built upon? That means you! Atmospheres certainly make a difference. Don't take things for granted. And I think most of you don't, but it's good to be reminded. We are the products of many generations and perhaps more to come and there is a spirit that unites us. We are a Body and we are undergoing a work until we are complete!

Death and loss can be reminders of our needs. I know after facing the strong chance of death myself that I had been given a gift. I wasn't being "punished" by what I went through. There was a war going on! It was a gift because what was important really came through to me on a whole new level.

I had been "at work" before in ministry, and I was not afraid to die, but didn't feel like my time and assignment was done! It also let me know the scope more of what I was facing and contending for. I don't play games in the Spirit. I was given a blessing to see the Body of Christ more and what He was trying to accomplish.

The signature Scripture of that event was "This is my Body, broken for you." At first I only saw that as Jesus physically suffering for me and all of us on the Cross. But He opened that up deeper. He told me that yes, that is true, but there was another level too. (I had been thanking Him for everyone who had helped me when I was so weak.)

He said He is multiplied in every believer, because He was in every believer and the coming together of the Body revealed more and more of who He is. He was broken apart by His work and put into each of us who would believe! When I saw that, I was amazed by it. Oh the deep riches of Christ and in us!

There is a free will offering on His part and a free will offering in each of us. We each work to make the Body whole, if we are a part of this. And our parts need help and supply from each other. Jesus is the Gift that keeps on giving! But He is purposed. Esau did not care; he could trade his birthright for bowl of beans.

It takes eyes to see and ears to hear, and a heart that wants to do and see His beautiful clean righteousness. It is fresh and new every morning! Yes we struggle. We are in the fallen world but not of it. We are a victory waiting to happen and it happens because we press in.

Oh what a deceit to think this world is ours to do with as "we" please! But some teach it and treat it that way. No, a greater work is going on. And it will last and blossom for eternity, if we are IN Him.
