Getting Back on Track by Elaine Tavolacci

By Elaine Tavolacci
This afternoon I was looking at an old notebook from 1991. I always loved spending hours studying the Word of God and taking notes. Even as a young believer I understood the transforming power of the Word of God. I learned that Jesus was with God in the beginning when He created the world, and He has given us the same creative power in our words, therefore we could speak things into existence. We could speak to mountains to be cast into the sea and it will obey. I understood the covenant that Jesus established with us when He died on the cross, and I knew that healing is always Gods will for us.

Jesus gave us the same authority that He had when He walked the earth. He commissioned us in Matthew chapter 10 to heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons. He has already given us all things that pertain to life and godliness. When we begin to recognize what the Lords promises are for us, our lives will begin to transform, and we will learn to walk in His will. We will conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ and we will learn to speak words of edification.

The Lord is looking for those who have mountain moving faith. Those who are not afraid to speak to the mountain rather than complaining about it. He is looking for world changers not pew sitters. He is looking for those who know their God to carry out great exploits. He wants you to defeat your enemy with the same weapon that he tried to use against you. As you grow, you will become as David's mighty warriors "The Gibborim" The Lord will train your hands for war and your fingers for battle.

Some of you need to get back in sync with the Holy Spirit. You used to feel uncomfortable when you were not synchronized with Him but now your conscience has been seared. You feel as if you drifted so far out to the point of no return. You have allowed life's difficulties to plant seeds of bitterness in your heart. Those roots need to be uprooted. Some of you have a calloused heart. You've allowed your circumstances to affect your emotions. The Lord wants to take out the stony heart and give you a heart of flesh.

The Holy Spirit is showing me a "Railroad switch." This is a mechanical installation enabling railway trains to be guided from one track to another, such as at a railway junction or where a spur or siding branches off. When the trains' wheels reach the switch, they are guided along the track determined by which of the two points is connected to the track facing the switch. If the right point is connected, the right wheel's flange will be guided along the rail of that point, and the train will continue along the straight track.

Many of you feel as if your life has been derailed. Jesus wants to get you back on track. Your faith is being stirred and you realize that your spiritual life has been dry. The Holy Spirit is saying, come back to your first love. Come back to the place where you've first met. He wants to lead you and guide you by the Holy Spirit once again. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ?

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.

Daniel 11:32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

Galatians 5:7 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?
